Over the coming weeks, I will be preparing ‘brain cards’ to go home with your children. These cards will support your children in learning initial sounds, numbers, shapes, colours and our Kindy sight words. They will be collected from homework folders at the end of every term. Please remember to bring your homework folder on every Kindy day.
Literacy
Please show your children the uppercase and lowercase letters and ask them to tell you the sound (not letter name). Can they find something in your house that starts with that sound?
Numeracy
Please show your children the numbers and ask them to identify and order the numbers. Counting aloud and counting items in the house will also develop their number sense.
